Dr Penny Trayner BSc (Hons), PGDip, DClinPsy, CPsychol, AFBPsS
Founder, CEO, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Clinical Director
Dr Trayner has 15 years of experience within neurorehabilitation as a clinician, holding the UK’s highest and gold-standard qualification in paediatric clinical neuropsychology. She specialises in community-based work, predominantly for children and adolescents who have experienced catastrophic brain injuries. Dr Trayner’s passion for enhancing rehabilitative care and recognition of a lack of infrastructure to set and manage rehabilitation goals, led to the development of Kompass
Ray Bunton MEng (Hons), DIS, MAPM
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Ray has over 20 years of successful technology delivery leadership experience within the highly regulated UK defence and banking industries. Throughout his career, he’s remained at the forefront of exciting emerging tech: such as the dawn of ‘smart phone’ mobile banking and Cloud application hosting. And so naturally, he’s incredibly passionate about what the innovative Kompass product will bring to rehabilitation professionals worldwide. As our CTO he’s working closely with our super talented in-house clinicians and development teams to ensure Kompass remains a secure and professional technology service.
Giles Trayner BSc (Hons)
Chief Operating Officer
Giles works closely with the technical and administrative team members to direct and coordinate the activities of the company, driving our sales and marketing. Giles is a qualified teacher and spent 6 years as a primary school teacher before joining Kompass.
Simon Kelly BSc (Hons)
Lead Developer
Simon is a highly experienced full-stack software developer, who has made extensive contributions to Kompass. Simon has contributed to numerous analogous projects, including a UKRI funded project developing a Data Dashboard, complementing the Kompass platform, showcasing his expertise and understanding of platform functionality. He has been involved with all initial developments to date, hence his continued collaboration on this project.
Christopher Bunton
Product / Service Manager
Chris has a background in engineering, specialising in telecommunications. He has extensive experience managing large-scale projects, contract negotiations and teams of people, skills that have been invaluable to us at Kompass.
Ikra Nawaz
As the driving force behind our online presence, Ikra is responsible for creating and monitoring social media content that reflects our values, mission, and commitment to making a positive impact.
Support Staff
Included in our team is a core delivery unit comprised of individuals with expertise in clinical, technical, and marketing support fields. The unity of clinical and technical roles has allowed us to provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to addressing the needs of our user base, ensuring that Kompass has remained best-practise, continuing the evidenced and literature-supported basis on which the software was founded. Consistent collaboration since the software's creation in 2019 has ensured that Kompass has remained innovative and quick to iterate, also supported by our involvement with major research and academic institutions including Health Innovation Manchester and the University of Essex.
